How to Hang Curtains All the Way at the Ceiling
Hang your curtains or drapes at ceiling height and add grandeur and grace to a choppy wall. Especially in homes with high ceilings, a curtain rod right over the window frame breaks up the wall and looks squashed -- and makes the window seem smaller. Free your constricted low-ceilinged rooms and celebrate the high-ceilinged rooms by mounting the curtain rod at the top of the wall and stretching it about 12 inches wider on each side of the window.
